LISA NEILY

Since 2001, I have been involved with this incredible group of young people. Coming from various situations involved with the social welfare system in Nova Scotia, youth meet weekly with adult facilitators to discuss ongoing issues, write articles and develop communications skills. My role has been putting together their newsletter every year which is then celebrated at a launch party. Working with the director(s) and input from the group, we gather the stories together in themed sections and use photos from throughout the year to illustrate their stories. Last year, I also put together their new website, thevoicenewsletter.ca, where you can view an archive of The Voice over the years.
